New Actions

Feint

Action
Skill: Brawl or Melee
Difficulty: Average or opposed

Description: If successful, character ignores all penalties from Volt (both their own and their opponent’s) until the end of the next round, and the difficulty of the opponent’s Feint the following round is increased by one (cf. Gain the Advantage).

Parry

Action
Skill: Melee
Difficulty: Average

Description: Parry covers the use of a melee weapon in an attempt to defend against a Brawl or Melee attack. For each success, add one set back die to an opponent’s next Brawl or Melee attack.

New Maneuvers

Volt

Description: Upgrades the difficulty of the opponent’s Brawl or Melee attacks, as well as the character’s own attacks, until the end of the next round (cf. Evasive Maneuver).

These two knowledge skills are similar to the knowledge skills Core Worlds and Outer Rim. The territories covered by each of the area knowledge skills are as follows:

In addition, each of the area knowledge skills provides some understanding of the neighboring territories. For example, a character with the Core Worlds knowledge skill could make a knowledge check (at upgraded difficulty) to recall relevant details about either the Deep Core or the Inner Rim.
